PMI Bangladesh chapter is a non-profit organization that is in the process of forming a chapter of PMI in Bangladesh. There is a standard process for chapter formation, and hopefully, depending on the response from PMI, we can be a chapter by second quarter 2009.

We currently have more than 63 PMI members and 21 PMPs. We have planned to organize various types of programs, events and trainings to expand their knowledge and acquire expertise in the field of project management, earn professional development units (PDUs) to qualify for PMP exam and also required to satisfy the continuing certification requirements for maintaining certification as a Project management Professional (PMP®).

Promote, recognition and appreciation of the project management profession in Bangladesh

To be a respected PMI chapter in the Asia region.

1. Establish & promote Project Management as a prestigious “Profession” through PMI Bangladesh Chapter
2. Provide project management related educational programs for its members and the community, leading to PMI certifications
3. Develop platform for project management knowledge sharing and apply best practices as per PMI standards
4. Develop a resource pool of skilled project managers to meet the industry need
5. Establish networking platform for project management stakeholders
