PMI Bangladesh Chapter has planned to organize various types of programs, events and trainings to expand the knowledge, acquire expertise in the field of project management for its members and achieve its objectives as well. Some of the initiatives for professional development are as follows:

Chapter Meeting

PMI Bangladesh chapter will be hosted monthly dinner meetings where members can network and earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) by attending the presentations:

  • Meetings can be attended by both members and non-members; members will receive a discount.
  • The educational portion of the program will feature a one-hour presentation (1 PDU) or a two-hour workshop (2 PDUs).
  • Meetings will be held on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Venue, Time, Cost for early-bird registration and for late registration/payment at the door will be published in the chapter website.

Project Management Career Networking

PMI Bangladesh Chapter Project Management Career Networking (PMCN) will be established to facilitate Networking among PMIBD members to support their personal and professional growth and promote exposure to career and business opportunities. The PMCN's goals are to provide additional networking opportunities to PMIBD members in the form of networking events, educational forums, and professional development opportunities. Each quarter a structured networking event will be conducted with elements of speakers, panel discussions, job announcements, networking sessions and interactive workshops.

The PMCN provides these services for interested PMIBD members:

  • Quarterly Networking session
  • Networking email list to allow notices and opportunities to be sent to PMIBD members
  • Reference information about other networking resources and previous speaker sessions
  • A LinkedIn group for Bangladesh Project Managers

Mentoring Program

The program will be based on a face-to-face / one-on-one approach, and is open to all members of the PMI Bangladesh Chapter. All information exchanged between mentor and mentee is strictly confidential. The program benefits include:

  • Allows more experienced project managers (mentors) to guide and assist the less experienced project managers (mentees);
  • Allows both, mentors and mentees, to study from each other and enhance the knowledge of the variety profession related subjects;
  • Allows all participants to earn PDUs; and
  • Provides satisfaction to participants when the mentoring results come to fruition.

Continuing Education

Training / Presentation will be conducted. Each presentation will be planned for at least four (4) hours giving attendees 4 PDUs. As an example, attendance at the four presentations will earn 16 PDUs that together with 5 earned for being employed in project management during the year gives a Project Management Professional 21 PDUs in the year, what is necessary for Continuing Certification if repeated for three (3) years.

Member Resumes

This service provides PMIBD members the opportunity to post their resumes in PMIBD site.

Job Ads

Employers and recruiters can post Project Management Job openings in PMIBD site. These jobs will be published in the Member’s Area of the chapter website.
